I began photographing these guardians of the coast around 1986. I am a member of many lighthouse societies and organizations whose main objectives are to preserve and restore the lights of the United States and other countries. One of my goals is to capture and preserve as many as possible on film so that they can be shared by all. I also give slideshow presentations to groups local to the southcentral Pennsylvania area.
