Chicago Harbor Lighthouse Originally sited at the mouth of the Chicago River in 1832, the light mas moved to its current location in the harbor in 1919. It has a Third Order lens, with red and white flashing panels, which was installed after the Columbian Exposition of 1891. The award-winning lens was supposed to go to Pt. Loma, California, but was installed in the newly completed Chicago Lighthouse. It exhibits a flashing red beacon.
