Chatham & Salem

Chatham, who was born on June 13, 1987 and died on June 22, 2007. There is a photograph hanging in our home with the phrase "A house without a cat is not a home." Chatham was an "Apple-head" (aka "Old Fashioned" or "Traditional") sealpoint Siamese. his means that his head was round, unlike the current breeding trend which produces elongated, narrow heads. We miss him terribly. Here is his blog: http://chatcatchats.blogspot.com/

Early November 1997 we added another furry son, a black & white wild child of undetermined origin. He is certainly keeping us all hopping - especially his big brother Chatham! S alem was adopted from the Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, a no-kill cat and dog shelter. We don't know his exact birthdate, but based on our vet's guess on his age, we'll call September 1 his birthday. So far it appears that there are very few foods that Salem will refuse - he's eaten corn, potatoes, raspberry vinegarette, carrots, spaghetti and sauce. His favorite place to sleep was in the napkin basket on the table. We finally had to retire that basket when it started to fall apart!

Visit Chatham and Salem's cousin Sphinxie, along with all their other kin.
